Xingping, Guillin, China


From arguably the most influential and and iconic landscapes of China, here are the first batch of images from Xingping and Yangshuo.  Along the Li River, cormorant fisherman have their birds do the work, while tower karsts of limestone and bamboo forests jut from the earth at amazing angles and soar 1000ft overhead.  I managed to find my way to the top of one of these peaks, definitely an arduous ascent, but the payoff was beyond words...
